The first session involves a science focused workshop discussing the evolution of science and why it so important to ask the question ‘why’.
This is an interactive workshop, with ‘Jam’ our 4 metre dinosaur, that is designed to get children of all ages thinking scientifically.
The second workshop focuses on expanding vocabulary and encouraging children to verbally discuss ideas that transfer into writing, using our green screen to ignite their imaginations.
Children will have a chance to meet a range of different dinosaurs that are all unique and have different personalities. This workshop is an interactive session that can take place in the classroom. and it focusses on personal, social, and emotional development. Through effective questioning we will explore different feelings and emotions with the children, while they get to know some impressive dinosaurs along the way.

We will bring an egg into school that can be used as a hook into the visit. Schools can create their own eggs to start the excitement of a visit, if they wish.
Each workshop includes cross-curricular resources through our free Curriculum Ideas Pack that will be sent to your school prior to your visit, developed with teaching practitioners to provide writing frames, lesson ideas, and other resources that link to the workshops. These have been created and developed by the incredible team at Teachers Pet.

Of course, our dinosaurs aren’t just for KS1 and KS2. We offer an entire workshop dedicated to younger children in your Early Years Foundation Stage groups. We know grown-up dinosaurs can be a bit scary for smaller children. That’s why, in these workshops, they get to interact with our baby dinosaurs, creating a fun and safe environment for learning.
